Looking Ahead to RISE Nashville

In just a few short weeks, the Talix team will be heading to Nashville for the 11th Annual RISE Nashville Summit. This year’s conference runs from March 6 – 8 at the Omni National Hotel, and with an expanded agenda covering more than 40 risk and quality-related topics – plus an outdoor networking event encompassing an entire city block – it promises to be the best one yet.

Like Talix, RISE is laser-focused on risk adjustment, data analytics, quality and value-based care, so it’s probably the conference we look forward to the most. This year, we’re particularly excited to be presenting a session with our newest customer, Geisinger Health Plan (GHP). Karena Weikel, ASA, FAHM, CSFS, vice president of risk and revenue management at GHP, will join our own Shahyan Currimbhoy, senior vice president of product management to present a session called “Risk Adjustment Coding: Leveraging Data Analytics Tools to Drive Coder Accuracy and Efficiency.” During the session, they will discuss the critical role accurate risk adjustment plays in the success of both health plans and providers as the industry continues to transition to value-based care. The duo will examine key challenges and best practices for leveraging data analytics in risk adjustment programs, as well as provide successful strategies that coding teams can use to drive coding accuracy and efficiency. Using Geisinger Health Plan as a case study, they will explore how the health plan implemented new, advanced analytics tools – leveraging natural language understanding, knowledge graphs and clinical rules – to successfully improve their coding practices and productivity. The session will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 10:30 am – 11:15 am. The session is open to all registered conference attendees, so we hope to see you there!

We’ll be showing our core product, Coding InSight, at Talix Booth #40 in the exhibition area. Coding InSight streamlines time-consuming, error-prone manual chart reviews, increases coder productivity and improves the financial performance of Medicare Advantage and Commercial Exchange plans by uncovering missed HCC conditions and documentation gaps through automated patient data analysis. If you’re going to be at RISE, stop by to see a live demo of Coding InSight in action and enter for a chance to win a new Google Home!
