The team at Talix continues to grow! We recently rolled out the welcome mat for Sam Casciato, our new IT support engineer. Sam made the move to Talix from his own IT consulting firm, Concierge IT, which he opened right out of high school. He’s a San Francisco native with a deep interest in learning how things work and how to fix them. Here’s a little more about Sam:

What brought you to Talix?

After many years running my own company, I decided I wanted to see what it was like to be a full-time employee at a company instead of a contractor.

Describe your perfect day off:

Sleep in, go to the gym, play video games (Xbox One, of course).

One fun fact about you:

I have a large scar on my left arm from my time as a baseball pitcher. Baseball is one of my passions (the other being computers), and I played as a pitcher for the majority of my life. Unfortunately, I broke my HUMEROUS bone (fun fact!) throwing a slider.

If you could have dinner with any three people in the world, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

Isaac Newton, because I consider him to be the most important scientist of all time.

Alan Turing, because he is considered the father of modern computer science.

Leonard Da Vinci, because I consider him to be the greatest mind of all time.

Dean Stephens is the CEO of Talix.
