You will need to keep track of all the costs related to the creation of these new products and decide what ideas are worth pursuing. The R&D manager should also stay informed on what is happening in the research and development field at large in order to make sure their company is up-to-date and current with the most advanced R&D developments. As a manager, you will also have important managerial and administrative responsibilities and may be in charge of overseeing employees.

G&A Department

General and administrative expenses (G&A) are expenditures related to the day-to-day operations of a business. General and administrative expenses pertain to operation expenses rather than to expenses that can be directly related to the production of any goods or services, including rent, utilities, insurance, and managerial salaries. On the company's income statement, these expenses generally appear under operating expenses.
